Elizabeth Aguiar, Vice President of Learning Resources and Publishing

Elizabeth Aguiar was appointed Vice President of Learning Resources in August 2008 and is now Vice President of Learning Resources and Publishing. Ms. Aguiar provided the original vision for Constellation, an award-winning digital publishing platform that delivers an engaging learning experience to over 85,000 students. In addition, Ms. Aguiar set the business objectives for the company’s new Thuze platform. Ms. Aguiar’s other responsibilities at Bridgepoint Education, a provider of innovative solutions that advance learning, include mobile learning, and the institutions’ learning management system and online library.

Her extensive experience in the higher education industry spans more than 25 years, and includes expertise in content strategy, sourcing, pricing, distribution and management across a variety of academic and training environments. Ms. Aguiar came to Bridgepoint from ED MAP, where she served as Vice President of Business Solutions. Prior to that, Ms. Aguiar worked for the Apollo Group/University of Phoenix, most recently as Vice President of Apollo Publishing and Learning Technologies.

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Opera, Ms. Aguiar is also an active member of the American Society of Training and Development.

Ms. Aguiar earned an MA in Russian Area Studies from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a BA in Russian Language and Linguistics from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
