Dan Stoneman Appointed Vice President of Information Technology for Bridgepoint Education

Dan Stoneman has been promoted to the position of  Vice President of IT for Bridgepoint Education.  With 20 years of professional Information Technology (IT) experience, Stoneman previously served as Bridgepoint’s Director of IT.  In addition to managing the IT team, his responsibilities include the design, implementation of, and funding for all of the organization’s corporate IT initiatives, agreements, programs, controls and resources.

“In recognition of Dan Stoneman’s role in the organization, his insightful analytical talents, and his valuable contributions, I am very pleased to announce his promotion,” said Tom Ashbrook, Senior Vice President/Chief Information Officer.  “Dan plays a critical role in helping to lead the technology and infrastructure disciplines of Bridgepoint Education and has contributed greatly to our ability to operate with efficiency, transparency, and accuracy to serve our customers.”

Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Stoneman served as Vice President of Products and Technology for LizardTech, Inc., headquartered in Seattle, WA.  During his career, he also owned and operated Stoneman Systems Group (SSG), serving in such roles as Outsourced Chief Information Officer and Advisor for a number of reputable corporations. 

Professional accomplishments include managing the specification, development, installation, and maintenance of a multi-functional computerized reservation system for John Jacobs’ Golf Schools in Mesa, AZ.  In addition, and among other accomplishments, Stoneman led the feasibility study, design, sale, specification, project management, regional negotiation and documentation process for the implementation of a new facilities and services tracking system at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, AZ.

Stoneman earned his B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
